Neurosurgery Infographics: book cover

Neurosurgery Infographics, also known as The Infographic Guide to Neurosurgery, is coming to print. Published by Thieme and edited by Dr. Nitin Agarwal and Dr. David J. Fernandes Cabral, the visual guide first arrived online in March 2025, and a physical edition is now on its way. Pre-orders are open, with the earliest delivery beginning July 30, 2026.

One Page, One Concept

Each entry compresses a neurosurgical disease, workup, or procedure into a single peer-reviewed image, paired with embedded video to anchor the concept in real clinical and operative footage. The collection features 100 visual abstracts spanning:

  • Brain: cerebrovascular disease, neuro-oncology, neurotrauma, hydrocephalus, and functional disorders of the cranium
  • Spine: degenerative, deformity, oncologic, and traumatic spinal disease with focused operative takeaways
  • Peripheral nerve: entrapment, traumatic injury, and tumor pathology in concise visual form

Every abstract is reviewed by subspecialty experts before publication, giving trainees a trusted single-page reference.

Built for the Way Trainees Study

Written for junior residents, medical students, and advanced practice providers, the book is designed for visual learners: built for the rhythm of ward rounds, pre-op review, and short study windows between cases, delivering the highest-yield takeaway in the time it takes to read a single page. The print edition brings that same quick-reference format to the bench, the call room, and the bookshelf.

Where to Find It
